Pandeyah Samoyeds are the 'new kids on the block' and we won't claim to be anything more!
We have no plans to breed for some time, but are gathering information and knowledge from mentors around us and around the world until that point. We will use this site as a communication of our successes and adventures as we begin this wonderful journey, embracing a breed, being captivated by that certain smile so much so we want to be a part and have influence on the future of this breed.
"Pandeyah Samoyeds" is officially registered to myself, Belinda, in Melbourne, Australia. My aim as a breeder and protector of this beautiful breed is to keep my kennel small and family based. With careful selection I will aim to breed true to type, with traditional happy Sammy temperaments and also focus on versatile all-rounder Samoyeds that are capable of doing jobs that they were traditionally bred to do - including herding and endurance, as well as working well with their humans on a more 'modern' platform of obedience and agility. Health of the Samoyeds that I bring in to the world will also be a huge consideration, all breeding dogs and bitches will have their hips and elbows scored and eyes tested for relevant diseases.
I participate with my boy "Fletcher" in many activities including conformation showing, obedience, herding, agility and he also works as a Therapy Dog for Delta Society Australia - showcasing that this breed, and my boy, is very versatile and capable of almost anything.
I am constantly amazed by the beauty and intelligence that all Samoyeds possess. Their unique ancient history, particularly the fact that they were always bred to be a part of the family, a temperamental trait which has been so well protected by Samoyed fanciers over the years that our Samoyeds to this day are so gentle and caring and above all, loyal. That, coupled with their overall looks and smarts, how could one not fall for this breed in the way I have?
